Whatever your interests, there are local events that will appeal to you. Here are some of our favourites!
Weald and Downland Museum
The season starts with Mothers' Day and Easter Activities, and regular Children's Activities during school holidays throughout the year.
The Rare Breeds Show is always a very popular event, held this year on 18th July, followed by the Steam Festival on 14th and 15th August. More details can be found at www.wealddown.co.uk
Polo at Cowdray
23rd June - 18th July The Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup for the British Open Polo Championship takes place at Cowdray Park Polo Club. More details can be found at www.cowdraypolo.co.uk
Chichester Festivities
The 36th Chichester Festivities takes place from 25th June until 11 July and, as usual, promises a varied and exciting programme, including perfomances by Lesley Garrett, the Philharmonia Orchestra, Julian Joseph, the Russian Chamber Philharmonic St Petersburg, not to mention jazz, talks, art comedy and community events - all finished off with a Fireworks Concert at Goodwood Racecourse. West Dean Gardens
West Dean College's programme of events starts with the Chilli Fiesta on 7th and 8th August, a hot hot hot event! The Totally Tomato Show takes place on 4th and 5th September, and there are various art exhibitions during the season. See their website, www.westdean.org.uk, for further details.
